Having presence on various social media platforms means being able to reach a wider audience. This blog will guide you on distributing content across different platforms.

Duplicating content across is actually not a good idea. You have to know that different platforms have different purposes.

Facebook

As reported by Brandwatch, there are 1.49 billion daily active users. 47% of Facebook users only access the platform through mobile. 83% of parents on Facebook are friends with their children. Hence, Facebook should be considered as your platform to curate content from other platforms. Be it a YouTube video, a tweet, news, whatever that is — take it to Facebook.

Twitter

There are 330m monthly active users and 145 million daily users. Most users use Twitter to get news and updates on their favorite public figures. In other words, people use Twitter to keep up with what's going on. Therefore, maximize Twitter for sharing announcements and latest stories.

Besides that, Twitter is also a great platform to share GIFs. It would be good to post this to vary your content.

Instagram

Instagram is best for sharing high-res photos, quotes, and stories. The main intention of IG is to share and find the best photos and videos. Quotes can also be repurposed in such a way that you can match it with aesthetics that would go along with the quote. This can even be used for sharing short video clips for your audience. Just make sure that it's really quick and straightforward. Some ideas include top 3 tricks for a particular how-to.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a great avenue to share infographics. You could visually repurpose steps in such a way that it gets easy to be digested on your audience' end.

LinkedIn

For any employee, LinkedIn is a social network that focuses on professional networking and career development. You can use LinkedIn to display your resume, search for jobs, and enhance your professional reputation by posting updates and interacting with other people. This suggests that if you're posting for a page, it would be good if you take "life at work" to this platform. Anything that has to do with professional development may be posted on LinkedIn.

Conclusion

There are other platforms where you can establish your online presence for your audience. Always make it a habit to vary your content depending on the purpose of each platform.
